Following the success of Social Outreach Seattle’s “What’s Next After Marriage?” Forum, SOSea’s [TED] Program will continue engaging the community in meaningful dialogue around the social justice and equality issues that effect all of us.
This month’s topic: INTERSECTIONS Immigration and Immigrant Rights are LGBTQ people’s issue! … presented by Social Outreach Seattle in collaboration with ACLU (& Legal Voice, QLaw, OneAmerica, Gender Justice League, NWIRP, AILA, GSBA, ERW & NWIRP) We invite you to join us in conversation around Immigration & LGBTQ Individuals effected by policy, politics, and practice. We’ll discuss DOMA, Asylum, rights, bi-national couples, laws, current policies, and restrictions. Whether you want to know more about Immigration, Immigrants Rights; you’re knowledgable and would like to share experiences, stories, and expertise; or you’re interest was piqued after the great campaign for social justice with Referendum 74 and you’d just like to be involved and meet some awesome people… Join us as we discuss a call to action and how to be a part of moving the conversation forward.
